Psychotherapy is a space to explore the relationship with yourself, others and the world around you. Together we'll gently explore the thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations that shape your experience.

I work in-person or online. The in-person studio is located in Brecon, Wales, UK.

Working Together

Our sessions are conversations, but they don't stay only in the mind. We also pay attention to what your body is communicating via sensations.

This isn't about fixing you. It's about helping you feel more at home in yourself, so you can meet life's challenges with a greater capacity.

Below are some of the areas I am dedicated toward:

  • Long Covid

  • Chronic pain / fatigue

  • Anxiety/health anxiety

  • Panic attacks

  • Coming off medication (SSRIs, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers etc)

  • Depression

  • Relationship conflicts

  • Not feeling safe in the body

  • Not knowing your place in the world

What happens during sessions:

Honesty

Beginning with what's here.

We begin by giving space to your experience, without needing to change or judge it. You are heard, and together we begin to recognise what is really happening - gradually moving beyond the story to what lies underneath and its impact.

Curiosity

New perspectives.

We simply get curious. Exploring your role in the challenges you experience, considering why you feel the way you do, and discovering new ways of seeing and relating to what you feel and think.

Somatic listening

Feeling.

A part of all sessions will be dedicated to directly listening to and feeling sensations in the body. A guided practice to return to what is happening in the body, creating a deeper & more safe relationship with what is felt.

Relationship

Honouring your needs.

Feeling more comfortable in your body can create greater flexibility in how you meet situations, as well as clarity around your direction, relationships and needs. Integration takes time, as these shifts gradually find their way into everyday life.

The framework of this offering is influenced by Compassionate Inquiry, a methodology taught by Gabor Maté, which explores the challenges, feelings and beliefs we carry and the experiences that may have shaped them, often beginning with childhood.

This inquiry can cultivate greater awareness of why and how we feel what we feel, supporting more flexibility and openness in how we respond to experiences and past trauma. As Maté puts it: “Not what happened to you, but what happened inside of you as a result of what happened to you.”

The invitations to return to the body and view of our nature as a whole is shaped by the methodologies of Radical Ecology, developed by Godfrey Devereux. At the heart of this work is a direct and deeply embodied way of living: sensation is the source, the invitation is to feel as deeply as possible what is being felt, enabling a deeper intimacy with your own intelligence.

It is a inquiry of returning, again and again, to an intimacy with what is here. This is explored through somatic listening and somatic communication - allowing the body to be experienced rather than managed or controlled. As an impact of feeling, that mind naturally grounds itself into the body from establishing a place of greater safety.

Another thread of my work is influenced by Zac Bush, particularly his understanding of the multitude of internal relationships that exist within us. This invites us to become more aware of these relationships and to explore how they might be reflected in the way we live, relate and respond in everyday life.
